Our Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program extends to cyclists who experience flat tires or other bike malfunctions while commuting to and from work—or who, for example, bike to work and then become too ill to bike home.
We can schedule virtual or in-person route planning & mode shift counseling events, bike safety checks, maintenance & winterization clinics, instructor-led group rides, and other cycling-related programming—which we can facilitate directly or through a local bike shop. Contact us to learn more.
As part of statewide Baystate Bike Month, 128 Business Council runs a yearly May Mode Shift Challenge, during which participants can win prizes by shifting trips from car to bike —or from car to walking or public transit, including our shuttles. We can also sponsor an organization-specific Mode Shift Challenge—either during May or another time of year.
The American Diabetes Association‘s Tour de Cure offers supported routes ranging in length from 15 to 100 miles so cyclists of all abilities can participate—and you can also join the team virtually! 128BC has chosen this event as part of our annual programming because of the ADA’s proven impact record and their year-round approach to training & community-building. Participation is open to all riders of The Grid shuttle system; affiliates of any of our TMA member organizations; and friends, family & supporters. Join or support our team!
We can assist you in connecting to bikeshare programs or in establishing a private bikeshare system for your business or community.
