New Riders

The Grid is a cooperative shuttle system sharing a unified fleet. It’s planned and operated by 128 Business Council.

The Grid is not part of the MBTA. CharlieCards, Charlie Tickets, and other MBTA passes aren’t accepted on our shuttles.

All multi-stop routes are open to member-affiliated riders and the public. Member-affiliated riders often pay a lower fare.

All riders must board & disembark at an established stop listed on that route’s schedule. No special stop requests.

Every vehicle in the Grid system has a wheelchair lift. Accessibility is built into how we operate.

Every vehicle in the Grid system has a bike rack. 128 Business Council supports people who ride.
Three Essential Steps Before You Ride
Find Your Shuttle Route
The Grid isn’t just one shuttle. It’s a system of 50+ privately-funded stops across 10 routes. Each route has its own page with schedule, map, and fare info.
Download the Rider App
Tripshot lets you pay fares, plan trips, track your bus, and get route-specific alerts. Unless you’re paying the full fare in cash every ride, you need this app!
Sign Up for Email Alerts
Join your route’s email list for timely updates on schedule changes, weather impacts, or other emergencies. You’ll only get essential messages, never spam.
Everything (Else) You Need for a Smooth Shuttle Ride
Finished the 3 steps above? (Found your route, set up the app, and signed up for shuttle emails?) Then head to the Shuttle Info landing page for system-wide fares, holiday schedules, weather policies, and accessibility details.
