128 Business Council is run by an efficient team of experts in alternative transportation and sustainability. In addition to our in-house team, we are directed by an active and involved board comprised of members of the community. Together we proudly serve the Route 128 West Corridor and 128 Business Council Members, and act as stewards for better transportation and sustainability solutions.
Monica G. Tibbits-Nutt AICP, LEED AP BD+C
Monica G. Tibbits-Nutt, AICP, LEED AP BD+C is the Executive Director of the 128 Business Council. Working in regional planning and transportation, Monica’s areas of specialty are transportation planning, urban design, and sustainability. Her work experience includes public sector transit planning at both the MBTA Advisory Board and as Executive Director of TransitWorks. In addition, Monica has worked in regional planning and development for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), the City of Columbus Planning and Development office, and the Greater Linden Development Corporation. She received a Masters of City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University in Columbus and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Southern Indiana.
An active member of the research community, Monica has been a featured speaker at Next Stop: A National Summit on the Future of Transit, the New England Sociological Association Conference, the Association for Commuter Transportation International Conference, and the Research, Innovation, Scholarship, and Creativity Symposium. In both her work and research, she is most interested in developing regional strategies that integrate sustainable practices into transportation. Toward this goal, Monica’s current work seeks to improve and promote sustainable transportation practices throughout the suburban and metropolitan region.
Monica serves on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Board of Directors and the Fiscal Management and Control Board that currently oversees the MBTA. She is a gubernatorial appointee to the Board of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) serving on the Executive Committee and Legislative Committee. She has formerly served as Vice-Chair of the Regional Transportation Advisory Council (RTAC). She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design & Construction with the U.S. Green Building Council.
Lisa A. Stiglich
Director of Operations
Lisa A. Stiglich is currently the Director of Operations of 128 Business Council. Lisa performs a dual role, managing all of the 128 Business Council’s shuttle services as well as office operations.
Shuttle operations responsibilities include budgeting, mapping, route creation, scheduling, ridership statistics, customer service, marketing and communications. Office operations responsibilities include staff management, budgeting, strategic planning, accounting, policy and procedure development, marketing and office management.
Lisa has 15 years of experience with the Council and is a graduate of Regis College.
Member and Shuttle Services Manager
Jeff Bennett serves as Member and Shuttle Services Manager for the 128 Business Council. As Shuttle Services Manager, Jeff oversees all aspects of service planning, operations management, and communications. He also coordinates memberships and services for the Council’s current and prospective members. Jeff also represents the Council as Managing Director of MassCommute, the statewide coalition of TMAs for Massachusetts, which advocates for TMAs and transportation policy at the state and national levels.
Jeff has 15 years of experience managing local shuttle services with TMAs. He most recently served as Program Manager for Charles River TMA in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he oversaw member programs and the EZRide Shuttle system for the Kendall Square area. Jeff is a graduate of Boston College, with a degree in Political Science and History.
Shuttle Operations Assistant
Joshua Moore is currently the Shuttle Operations Assistant for 128 Business Council. In this position, he contributes to daily operations through organization of shuttle ridership data and customer service support. Joshua also assists with clerical work, company events and transportation projects.
Prior to joining 128 Business Council, Joshua had experience providing account management, customer assistance and service advising at an auto dealership.
